Carly & Michael's Wedding in Leeds

An October Wedding in the midst of a Pandemic - with only 15 Guests?

Cary and Michael had been on the fence as to whether to go a head with their wedding date or wait. I'm so glad they did, with how the rules are constantly changing for weddings, now with only the ceremonies being allowed to go a head.

A church ceremony in Roundhay, Leeds, St. Edmunds is a stunner and stands proud on the edge of Roundhay Park. Carly wanted a statement piece outside of the church entrance, our natural urns filled with seasonal Red and Pink florals sat on our natural plinths, they looked amazing. When I went back to dismantle after the ceremony, just as I was about to take them away, a gentleman had approached with his elderly mum, he had brought her out for a walk especially to see the flowers as he knew she'd love to see them. This literally made my day and I hope it did hers.

It was then onto The Foundry, which was situated on the outskirts of Leeds City centre (it has since closed its doors due to the Pandemic taking a hit on them) It was a Michelin Restaurant by Matt Healy, a Master Chef Contestant. We dressed the venue with gold flower Columns, bud vases and tea lights, we also provided empty vases ready for the bridal party bouquets, so this would add to the feature of the tables.

Very Cleverly Carly and Michael got round the rule of 15 guests, by meeting up with a different set of 15 at every venue. next up was The Cross Keys pub which is directly opposite The Foundry, at this venue we provided more bud vases on the tables in their area upstairs.

To then the last venue which was Crafthouse which is situated in Trinity Walk, not an easy venue to access as a supplier, we ended up going via the service entrance underground. It is literally a maze behind the scenes to get up the top bars and restaurants. But we did it, the flower columns, bud vases, bouquets with vases and tea light holders were moved to a cordoned off area in Crafthouse.

It was a lot of work, with all the deliveries and collections of flowers and the hire out items. It looked beautiful and Cary and Michael were super pleased with it all, which is always what counts.

Carly wanted a colour scheme of Reds and different tones of Pinks, I absolutely love this combination, I feel it's oh so Romantic! I think we need to also take a minute to check the Anemone's out, I mean hello how blooming stunning are they! I ordered the Anemone's in especially for Carly, they usually come with a black centre but these arrived with white which was such a pleasant surprise! I'm in love.

Testimonial, Carly October 2020

"Hi Emma, thank you so much for everything you did on Saturday, was a pretty epic task with all the location moves but it was all perfect and the flowers were absolutely beautiful, really loved them."
